What are eBooks?

eBooks are electronic books that are stored in a digital format suitable for downloading to your computer or eBook Reader.  To the best of our knowledge, the following information was correct when published.  But due to the rapid changes in technology, to insure that you have the latest and most accurate information regarding software we recommend that you visit the Adobe and Microsoft websites.  You can utilize the links at the right to get the latest information and download FREE software.

What is Adobe Acrobat?

Adobe Acrobat is a program that allows reader access to computer files.  You will need it in order to read  the FREE sample chapters of the eBooks listed on this website.  The FREE chapters can also be printed.

Can an eBook be printed?

Adobe Acrobat eBooks can be printed.  Microsoft Reader eBooks cannot.

Can eBooks be read on a Macintosh?

Not Microsoft Reader eBooks.  Adobe Acrobat eBook books can be read on Mac OS 9.x.

How do you read an eBook?

In order to read your eBook, you must first have eBook reader software installed on the computer or other electronic device that you download your eBook to.  Adobe Acrobat, and Microsoft Reader software can all be downloaded to your computer for FREE.  Simply click on the appropriate link on the right hand side of this page.  The books on this website are currently published using Adobe Acrobat only.  We will expand the options in the future.  Watch for next months Newsletter for more information.  Once you have downloaded your eBook you can read it on your computer or other appropriate eBook reader device, or if you prefer, in the case of Adobe Acrobat you can print it.  It is our understanding that Adobe PDF files can be read on a Palm by utilizing software that is available FREE at the following website:  http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readerforpalm.html 

How do you purchase an eBook?

Simply go to the Book Catalog page and click on the ADD TO CART button for the book or books you want to purchase.  When you have finished shopping, click on the VIEW CART button and follow the simple instructions.  We utilize PayPal to take payments.  PayPal is an eBay Company.  It is a safe, secure, proven method of paying for internet purchases.  We have personally used PayPal for the past three years and have never had a problem.  When you make a purchase BE SURE and SAVE it to your system before you close the file.  For other options see Payment Options on the HOME page.

Why eBooks?

eBooks offer many advantages. 

They save a precious resource: TREES.  Even if you print your eBook it saves paper because approximately 40% of all books published in the conventional fashion, are trashed. 

They save time.  Browse and order from the comfort and safety of your home and have your eBook in minutes. 

They save space.  Store several eBooks in your laptop or other eBook Reader and take them on a vacation or business trip. 

They are less expensive.  The ebooks presented on this website are 40% to 60% the cost of a similar size hardcover or print on demand books.  If you, like a lot of people, insist on reading from a hardcopy, you can spend a couple dollars for paper and a binder and still save money.   

They make more books available.  Some quality books, like the ones on this website, are only available as eBooks.
